The Institute was founded in 1991. Its founder is Nikolay Vasilyevich Susha, a Doctor of Economics and a professor who is also the permanent rector of this Institute. During these and the following years all conditions for training highly qualified specialists in the fields of economics, law, psychology, foreign languages and information technologies were created in the Institute. Today material resources and fully qualified faculty allow teaching on a highly qualitative level with the use of the latest achievements in science and technology.
Today Minsk Institute of Management includes:

• Institute’s own educational and auxiliary areas (over 22000 sq. m.);
• 13 up to date computer laboratories provided with the latest generation technologies and Internet access;
• 11 language laboratories with satellite television and audio and video equipment for foreign language classes;
• 2 computer laboratories designed for listening comprehension;
• 32 specialized classrooms equipped with educational television facilities and computers;
• 4 television studios with a network of educational satellite telecasting;
• A modern library with 2 reading halls (capable of holding 340 people); the total amount of literature is more than 41 thousand volumes; the library has an interlibrary subscription access, an electronic base of literature sources (over 7000 titles) and an Internet center;
• A recreational site in Molodechno district
• Sports grounds, a gym and equipment for holding physical education classes
• A publishing and a printing house with a license to issue educational, scientific, advertising, fictional and reference literature as well as 5 scientific journals: “Economics and Management”, “Psychological journal”, “Legal journal”, “Innovation educational technologies”, “The proceedings of the Minsk Institute of Management”;
• A medical centre;
• 4 cafeterias;
• Internet provider service;
• Xerox and computer scanning centre; a book shop.

Minsk Institute of Management has passed a state regular accreditation in the year 2004 (license No.00000069).

Based on the results of the certification procedure it was acknowledged that the Minsk Institute of Management fits the status of a University type higher educational establishment.

During the 2005 certification procedure the institute has confirmed its status of a University type higher educational establishment.
