March 15, 2011 Attaché for university cooperation of the French Embassy in Belarus, Co-Director of the Franco-Belarusian Center for European Studies (CFB), associate professor at the University of Bordeaux, PhD in Sociology, Mr. Ronan Hervouet visited Minsk Institute of Management.

During the visit Mr. Ronan Hervouet gave a lecture in French on the topic: "The system of higher education in France" for students, undergraduates and postgraduates. Alexander Kurilo – Co-Director of the Franco-Belarusian Center for European Studies carried out the interpretation into Russian.

Mr Attache in his lecture focused on the following issues:
- Hierarchical system of universities in France;
- Admission to the French universities;
- Order of study in French universities;
- Levels of higher education in France.
Students, graduate students, faculty and administration of the Institute listened to a lecture with great interest and asked questions concerning the possibility of continuing education in France for graduates of Belarusian universities, about the current and final evaluation of students' knowledge in French universities and others.

Rector of the Minsk Institute of Management Nikolay Susha emphasized the informativeness of the lecture and the interest aroused from the audience and suggested to Mr Ronan Hervouet to publish an article on the topic of the lecture in the scientific journal "Innovative Educational Technologies", published by the Minsk Institute of Management.

After the lecture it was conducted a tour of the Minsk Institute of Management for the representatives of the French Embassy, during which the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation between the Institute and CFB.
